Here you will find ways to support your year 1 child during our school closure.
We are now in the final week before the school holidays so do what you can, have fun and don't forget to send your child's learning to their teacher via Classdojo.
Dear parents and carers,
Each week a programme of five lessons will be available to the Year 1 via the weekly website pages. This is the curriculum content your child would have been studying at school this summer term.
Within each document there is a web link taking you to the white rose home learning web page. You will see each lesson for this week. Your child is to complete one lesson per day as they would normally at school. Watch the video with your child to understand the maths concept being taught that day and then complete the worksheet. This can be printed and completed or can be written into an exercise book or on paper. Each lesson has the answers attached so we ask kindly that you mark the child’s work and work through any mistakes and edit when needed.
There will be a picture stimulus for each week of English learning and then accompanying activities. These will range from writing a story to go with the picture, correcting or improving sentences and even drawing your own pictures. Simply have a look at the English grid for the week and choose an activity to do each day.
For this last half term of our school year we wil be providing you with 'additional learning' linked to the curriculum that would have been taught this term if we were at school. Remember to do what you can when your child is ready.
Teachers at the school would appreciate seeing this work when we are able to get back to school. You could add any work via Class Dojo.
Have Fun, Stay Home and Stay Safe.
